God, My Eternal Father

In the Old Testament in the book of Psalms, chapter 139, David glories in God our Eternal Father. On this Father's Day as I awoke this morning, the very first thought that I had was although on earth we celebrate our earthly Fathers, the most Holy and perfect Father that we have is our Eternal Father. I love Him so deeply and I desire for nothing more than to please Him.

These scriptures explain just how well that God our Father knows us....as we are His children.
He created us and placed us in our mother's womb. Our bodies, physical traits and personalities were given to us by HIM! He watched us before we were fully formed. He is our wonderful, and incredible Father of all that we are.......

Psalm 139: 13-17

13 For thou hast possessed my reins: thou hast covered me in my mother’s womb.
14 I will praise thee; for I am fearfully and wonderfully made: marvellous are thy works; and that my soul knoweth right well.
15 My substance was not hid from thee, when I was made in secret, and curiously wrought in the lowest parts of the earth.
16 Thine eyes did see my substance, yet being unperfect; and in thy book all my members were written, which in continuance were fashioned, when as yet there was none of them.
17 How precious also are thy thoughts unto me, O God! how great is the sum of them!
18 If I should count them, they are more in number than the sand: when I awake, I am still with thee.
Our Heavenly Father was creating and preparing a plan for us even before we came to the earth that He created for us. He knew all of the things that we would need in order to help us return to Him, and the ways that we would be most happy. He blessed us in heaven with spiritual gifts that we would need for our journey here on the earth. Why did God create us and why does He love us? HE wanted too! It was according to Him that He would be happy to have us. I am eternally thankful for Him.

Ephesians   1: 3-6

  • New Testament
3Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, who hath blessed us with all spiritual blessings in heavenly places in Christ:
4According as he hath chosen us in him before the foundation of the world, that we should be holy and without blame before him in love:
5Having predestinated us unto the adoption of children by Jesus Christ to himself, according to the good pleasure of his will,
6To the praise of the glory of his grace, wherein he hath made us accepted in the beloved.
Not only does our Heavenly Father love us, He desires to give us all that He has through His Son Jesus Christ, and His Atoning sacrifice of His son. As we come unto Him and fully partake of the gospel He desires for us to become ONE with Him. I do not know of a more intimate term that one could use in regards to explaining the kind of relationship that our Father in Heaven wants to have with us.
Romans 8:14-19
14 For as many as are led by the Spirit of God, they are the sons of God.
15 For ye have not received the spirit of bondage again to fear; but ye have received the Spirit of adoption, whereby we cry, Abba, Father.
16 The Spirit itself beareth witness with our spirit, that we are the children of God:
17 And if children, then heirs; heirs of God, and joint-heirs with Christ; if so be that we suffer with him, that we may be also glorified together.
18 For I reckon that the sufferings of this present time are not worthy to be compared with the glory which shall be revealed in us.
19 For the earnest expectation of the creature waiteth for the manifestation of the sons of God.
John 17
21 That they all may be one; as thou, Father, art in me, and I in thee, that they also may be one in us: that the world may believe that thou hast sent me.
22 And the glory which thou gavest me I have given them; that they may be one, even as we are one:
23 I in them, and thou in me, that they may be made perfect in one; and that the world may know that thou hast sent me, and hast loved them, as thou hast loved me.
24 Father, I will that they also, whom thou hast given me, be with me where I am; that they may behold my glory, which thou hast given me: for thou lovedst me before the foundation of the world.
25 O righteous Father, the world hath not known thee: but I have known thee, and these have known that thou hast sent me.
26 And I have declared unto them thy name, and will declare it: that the love wherewith thou hast loved me may be in them, and I in them.
Lastly, I consider this name " Abba " and " Our Heavenly Father ", of all the names that God could have chosen for us to call Him, His desire was for us to call Him " Daddy ".
The word Abba is an Aramaic word that would most closely be translated as “Daddy.” It was a common term that young children would use to address their fathers. It signifies the close, intimate relationship of a father to his child, as well as the childlike trust that a young child puts in his “daddy.”
I am thankful for my opportunity to be here upon this earth and gain a body and experience that would allow me to feel joy at my highest capacity as come to know what it is to love and serve others. I know that My Father in Heaven has blessed us all so very much upon this Earth. I only hope that we can all show Him how thankful that we are and how dearly special that He is to us by sacrificing for Him, reading the scriptures that give us strength, and teach about Him and lastly be " doers " of the work, not just hearers .

James 1:22

  • New Testament
But be ye  doers  of the word, and not hearers only, deceiving your own selves.
I say this in the name of Jesus Christ. Amen.
